work space

i must say that ever since i was a little grom. i’ve been surrounded with style, design, and creativity. by no means at all am i a master of the trade but do i find great joy from what a space can bring?

a b s o l ut e l y .

the first space that has been a huge power house of inspiration is this one.

r o o m 6. deep cove, bc.

this space is a place that i have worked in for over 6 years and have learned how to use tall ceilings, abnormal wall… architecture? and moderate light. this space welcomes plants, linens, local artists, ceramics, and indulges in the community around it.

this extravagant wall plant hanging installation is brilliant.

how do you maintain the plants?

easy.

  1. have a ladder

  2. climb and water once a week (plant dependent) > these plants are pathos (tropical) and ferns (kangaroo plant) which means they are very easy to take care of, love moderate light, like to be misted often

  3. the pathos grow fast so trim and place in water to gift or have as added plant decor

my place! it’s mine and my boyfriends place (i am sure there will be a blog post about love, confidence in a relationship, and so forth) ** comment below and let me know if you would like this.

i work at room6 but also work from home doing brand managing for myself and for another company. this entails a lot of computer time and alone time… i suppose this is a good thing that i am pretty introverted at the best of times (but also love

i am obsessed with plants and feel they bring life to a space. we live in a basement suite which gets moderate light so some plants that i have are:

  • pilea

  • coffee

  • lipstick

  • bonzi

  • philodendron

  • snake

  • sugar vine

  • succulents

my go to art that i just love is ‘banquet workshop’ which is a local (vancouver) company who has just nailed it with their bright colours, bold statements, and contemporary design. the prints i have are:

  • california (yellow print in pic)

  • peace

  • sea animals of the pacific

  • and the calendar (bright pink and blue)

both of these spaces are the ideal places for me to work and be inspired. the amount of washi tape that i go through to tape up ideas is ridiculous. music is a must so my bose speaker is for sure my pick to create these spaces to be whatever i desire it to be.

hope this inspires you to create a space for you to be comfortable, inspired and eager to create beauty amongst the walls you spend the most time amongst.
