Kitsilano- home!
Hello!
It seems kinda surreal to say that Geordie and I are living in Kitsilano (Kits)… so excited to call this home for now. I say “for now” not to sound… snooty, ungrateful, unhappy, or wanting more or better (even though I do think it is great to want better) I mean you never know what life will treat you with- kind of the most beautiful and scary thing ever.
So far Kits is home and do we ever fancy it!
View of North Vancouver, BC from our balcony.
We have been here for two months or so and it seems that things happened so quickly and smoothly… from paint colour, couch pick, bedding (omg linens you actually drove me crazy), spray painting handles and toilet paper rods… it happened and here we are. Still together, still in love, and still buzzing.
Throwing it back to when I was a kid. my mom and I craved home design shows and cruising neighbourhoods deckled in mansions- getting lost in beautiful design and architecture. I can say that spending time shadowing a dear friend, bad ass business owner, and walking specimen of design had also taught me the quality of textile and design. Caroline Marko the ever-so classy ‘sweed’ herself! A lady who sent me to Sweden, Denmark, and London to learn, grow, write, work, and shadow design. I thank you.
So, I can say that this time of planning and now living in our own place has been a dream come true.
When it came to choosing our storyboard of inspiration, we both felt it was important to scale down the clutter and pair it down to what we need and love.

Things to look forward to:
ocean view- slows everything down
balcony- lounge chairs, sunnies, and chill’n
seawall- hello runners
friends- close to a network of wonderful people
work- takes under 25 min to drive to work (60-75 min before)
shops- so many nice shops close by
ocean- I want to hug you
This change to Kits has been so wonderful, feeling full is something I blurt out quite often. With the North Shore (where we moved from) just across the way, Deep Cove (where I started standup paddle-boarding) not far of a drive, and the ocean at our fingertips… Kits is home… for now!
