Organika Health Products - collagen

My holy grail product for hair, skin, nails, and joints. I will focus on hair which is where I have noticed the biggest difference from my ingestible beauty to my external hair goals. I’ve been using Organika’s collagen for over 1 year religiously and swear by this local BC brand 100% for their quality and diverse products. Their collagen (I use their grass-fed bovine collagen) is odourless and tasteless which makes it easy to add into anything - I like it in my morning coffee (2 Tbsp). Before taking collagen my hair used to shed like crazy, my boyfriend would often call me a golden retriever… with 10 x the length lol. Not only is it sheds much less it is also feeling a lot more thicker as the baby hairs are growing out and softer from the clean protein. I truly believe that what you put inside your body is what matters for your overall health.

Kevin.Murphy - balancing wash

A great pick to help cleanse the scalp and do a gentle clean with added antioxidants to help protect your hair from free radical damage. I use a quarter-size amount of this shampoo which is plenty and wash my hair every 2-3 days depending on my activities. P.S I do NOT use dry shampoo as I feel they plaster a residue on my hair and don’t let my hair/scalp breathe.

Kevin.Murphy - repair-me.rinse

This is my most LOVED conditioner I have used it does an incredible job conditioning my hair without having to use half the container. The smell is not too fragrant and it leaves your hair feeling stronger and softer - the ingredients are rich with protein and moisture - two things ya need! I also want to add that Kevin.Murphy’s packaging is made from 100% ocean waste plastic and was the first company to do so - I value this!

Davines - nourishing vegetarian hair mask

Great quality product and a hydrating drink for your hair. I will use this on my hair after my shampoo with a very wet head of hair and leave in for 5 min at least once a week. One downfall of this product is the smell, it is not my fave, it has a very hippy-like scent (sandalwood/patchouli) which I personally don’t love but once you rinse it out and add gisou’s primer you’re golden.

gisou - propolis infused polishing primer

Favourite product EVER that helps moisturize, protect, and feed my hair. It is lightweight and you only need a small pea-size amount to your already washed and conditioned hair. Consisting of bee propolis, this primer provides your hair with nutrients and protection against everyday damage (sun & salt). So happy I found this hair primer - it is key to helping keep my hair healthy and smells of honey - who doesn’t want that?!

gisou - texturizing wave spray

Say aloha to a product that is similar to a sea salt hair mist but gives you a much better look than the typical sea salt hair products. gisou’s texturizing wave spray doesn’t leave your hair sticky or heavy with product residue - it brings an airy textured look. I like to apply after gisou’s primer to my damp hair and let air dry. No heat products needed! I am obsessed with the effortless and natural look. 10 out of 10!

Tangle Teezer - the wet detangler

I know, isn’t a hairbrush just a hairbrush? Nope. This one is unlike any others that sometimes catch your hair with it’s teeth over time, get gross at the base of the teeth and leave your hair feeling damaged from splitting ends. This hairbrush has really fine and flexible teeth that gently glide through your hair while still detangling it. I have a ton of hair and am so happy I found this product!
